Through comprehensive research, market development and capacity building, we support SMEs, with a focus on traditional markets and vulnerable communities. Our strategies include business-to-business (B2B) models, market linkage, social marketing, demand generation, supply chain optimization, behavioral change, and policy advocacy. These efforts address immediate nutritional needs and foster long-term food security aimed at improving livelihoods.

Research

We conduct comprehensive desk reviews, feasibility studies, market research, and needs assessments to identify critical gaps and opportunities across the value chain. By utilizing user journey and empathy maps, we gain a deep understanding of stakeholders' perspectives, ensuring our research adopts human-centric approaches.

Program Design

With a deep understanding of local contexts and cultural dynamics, we develop innovative programs to address bottlenecks in the agricultural value chain. We utilize various human-centered design approaches to uncover bottlenecks, pain-points and deep-rooted issues, enabling a holistic model in solving the issues.

Policy Advocacy

 We leverage research evidence to engage stakeholders and key policymakers to influence policies and drive positive change in the agricultural sector, creating an enabling environment for business investment.

Capacity Building

We enhance the capabilities of actors across the agricultural value chain by using demonstration plots to train farmers on best agronomic practices and establishing incubation hubs to train SMEs in processing techniques, product development, product placement, value addition, and financial literacy. Through business-to-business (B2B) and business-to-consumer (B2C) models, we facilitate market linkages to connect farmers, producers, and consumers, ensuring they meet market demands.

Program Implementation

 We implement agricultural projects using a market-system approach, social marketing, campaigns, and diverse marketing strategies. Our aim is to foster market linkages, generate demand, initiate behavioral change, and raise consumer awareness for nutrient-dense crops and foods. Ultimately, we strive to enhance agricultural productivity, improve processing capacities, market  and promote healthier, sustainable food systems across the agricultural value chain.
