In partnership with The National Agricultural Seeds Council (NASC), SEEDAN and Contact Consulting we hosted a Seed Connect Digital Series; a two day webinar scheduled to hold on Tuesday 3rd & Wednesday 4th November, 2020. The theme of the summit was  “Building Resilience in Our Seed System to Achieve Sustainable Food Systems” it’s a call for action to rethink and propose a sustainable pathway for the Seed Industry not only in Nigeria but Africa in general.

• The first day of the series featured sessions on Unveiling Nigeria’s New Multi Year Seed Roadmap and the way forward, COVID-19’s impact on the Nigerian seed industry and building back better and Closing the Seed Demand Gap while ensuring access to Improved seed varieties to achieve food security.

• The second day featured sessions on Tackling counterfeit seeds and the deployment of substandard quality seeds in our seeds systems, Youth involvement in the seed sector, creating employment and investment in our food systems, Accessing Finance to support and complement public funding for the Seed Sector:  Seed research, breeding, regulatory enforcement, quality control and other services
