The ‘Eggs Make Kids’ campaign was launched by GAIN on World Egg Day in October 2019. With funding from the USAID/Nigeria COVID-19 Food Security Challenge, we partnered with the Kaduna State Government, Poultry Association of Nigeria, Kaduna State Chapter (PANKAD), Kaduna State Primary Health Care Development Agency (KPHCDA) and Poultry Association of Nigeria, Ogun State Chapter (PANOG) to implement a one-year advocacy project targeting mothers with children from the age 6-59 months to promote eggs as a nutritious food for children, addressing low dietary diversity and childhood malnutrition. The campaign adopted commercial marketing techniques, partnering with egg vendors to create demand for eggs in Kaduna and Ogun States.
