We covered the maiden edition of The East-West Seed Product Launch & Exhibition which was held on the 26th of November 2021 at the NAF conference center in Kado, Abuja. The event aimed to educate farmers to leverage the improved seed variety opportunities available in Nigeria to enhance food production. At the panel session, the future of the horticultural market was discussed. The improvement of the seed and agricultural sector in Nigeria was also discussed. applying future policies and adopting agro-business models that are working in other foreign countries. The new products unveiled were Tomato Diva F1, Papaya Gymbia F1, Watermelon Sweet Sangria F1, Hot Pepper Piquante Yellow F1, Hot Pepper Spicy F1, Gboma Eggplant (African Leafy Vegetable) Sika, Cucumber Daewy F1. The Product Launch, Exhibition, and Seed Fair Event connected all relevant actors in the agriculture value chain, physically and virtually from all over the world to brainstorm and provide workable solutions to the nation’s seed challenges and food security.
